Hot Topics on Web3 Measurements
11-16, 13:30–15:30 (Europe/Istanbul), Zurich Workshop

The purpose of this workshop is to provide a venue for anyone interested in network measurements to bring up the challenges they face in the day-to-day operation of their network. Platform operators, protocol designers and infrastructure engineers are welcome to come to this unconf-style workshop, discuss with others and form a community around data-centric platform operation and protocol design.

The team organising the event has recently launched, an extensive set of plots together with details on the corresponding experiments and tools used and will be happy to extend with more tooling that will prove useful to others.

Yiannis is a research scientist and engineering manager at Protocol Labs, where he has worked on several protocols of the IPFS stack. He is currently interested in data-driven protocol design and optimisation to help engineers make the right decisions on protocol design. The activities of the ProbeLab group, which are manifested primarily through, are focusing on IPFS and libp2p, but will soon be expanding to other networks too. Before joining Protocol Labs, Yiannis was a lecturer at University College London, where his research focused on future Internet architectures and protocol design.
